Given the developments in and around construction technology for space (both Earth orbit and on the lunar surface), we are in the process of establishing a ‘Space Chapter’ for the C-Tech Club. This will be to support founders and other independent innovators who are looking to develop design and construction technology for space-related clients and projects. Such technologies are likely to include: 3D printing of structures; new materials; structural design software; robotics; hyper-accurate sensors (to allow remote handling); physical/digital twins; and novel surveying and scanning techniques. There may also be spin-offs from space-related construction technology for conventional Earth-based construction.
